Windows 10 green screen after sign-in

Hello, after signing in Windows the screen turns green. I can see the cursor and open the task manager using the shortcut. But asides from that, nothing happens. I suspect it is due to malware.

Open task manager and scroll down to Windows explorer and right click - select restart.

If it is a malware issue, format will be the option if it didn't work then try any available windows data recovery software to permanently fix this issue.

rather drastic to have to format and start again as you could download an AV scanner to USB and scan for malware and virus from a bootable USB
