Office 2016 home/business single version

  benosc 12:33 08 Feb 2019

Hi I am looking to purchase a legitimate Microsoft single license, boxed copy of Office 2016 home/business. An up front purchase rather than pay any on going license fee. Like it used to be!!!

Can anyone help please. I seem to have hit a brick wall.

Many thanks for any help guys.

..........boxed copy of Office 2016................

When you say "boxed" are you expecting it to contain installation disks? If you are then Microsoft stopped doing that a while ago. You can buy boxed copies but that box only contains a plastic card with the keycode on it. You'll still need to download the program from Microsoft.

If you're looking for a reputable supplier then PC World have it for sale. Or you may feel that if you're going to be paying in excess of £200 you may as well buy the latest (2019) version.

Hi Secret-Squirrel

Sorry no I didn't mean Boxed with discs - wrong choice of word!!

I just want to make sure that what I buy is my copy of the genuine article that is going to be recognised and supported by Microsoft and not have to loose it after a year when a license payment becomes due.

I did contact PC World but the guy I spoke with says they only sell 2019

The item in the link I posted above is for a perpetual licence for one Windows PC. There's no annual subscription to pay.

Therein lies the problem. I can't find anywhere that sells 2016 Home and Business on disc. Don't do that anymore.

Thanks for your reply anyway.

Following Secret-Squirrels link. You can get the 2019 Home and Business one off Office from Microsoft here

Maybe worth paying a bit extra for the latest version. This is a permanent license for one PC

Hi john bunyan

Thanks for your reply John but I don't want 2019.

Fine; I have the version you want on 2 PC’s . However if I were buying it again I would want the latest version- not for functionality, but just in the interest of longevity. I can’t see much difference in the write up.

SS link then , is for you
