I’m looking to get into pc gaming but I’m not trying to sell a limb and arm for it. There’s a guy online selling an Alienware 15 R4 8th gen laptop. Here are the specs:
i7-8750H six core CPU
GTX 1070 OC 8GB GDDR5 (DESKTOP)
16GB DDR4
128GB SSD
1TB HDD
120Hz G-Sync Panel upgraded
The seller wants me to make an offer but I just have no idea. It looks good cosmetically but I just don’t know the 1st thing about pc gaming. Any help is appreaciated.
Thanks
It is against Forum Policy to let us give you a valuation, for good reason, we have no idea of the truth of the Seller's statement.
However, we can suggest that you check out the various Auction Sites for a similar model, remembering that there is no enforceable warranty
I think I would be a bit suspicious of a guy who just happens to want to sell a pc of such a high spec , if you can afford to buy a pc of this spec go to a custom build such as pc specialists and use their " build a pc program".
At the end of the build sequence you will be told of any overkill such as too big a power supply or any mismatch in parts chosen.
Don't buy it cos it looks good , my £3k rig looks huge black and boring , you would think it only £50 , its what IN the box that counts
