Me and the wife went away for the weekend and forgot to take a camera so we used our Samsung phone as a camera but I cannot work out how to transfer the photos to my laptop. The phone is a Samsung Galaxy J3 2016 AND MY o/s is Windows 7.I found the following on Google. How do I tether my Samsung j3 to my laptop? Connect the device to a computer using the supplied USB cable. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps > Settings > Mobile Hotspot and Tethering. Use any of the following available tethering method as desired: For USB tethering, tap USB tethering switch to turn on or off . But tethering is greyed out so cannot use it.And also when I plug the phone in nothing appears in my computer.

If still cannot, try to install Google PhotoApp and let the photo to get auto-back-up-sync to Google Photo, and then, download from Google Photo with your laptop after login to your google account.

Is it "Greyed out" when the two are connected with a USB Cable?
