June 2018 is exciting for gamers for one reason, and one reason only; E3 2018, the biggest games convention of the year. Running since 1995, the show sees manufacturers, developers and publishers flock from all over the world to showcase their latest wears, from upcoming games to the latest gaming accessories. Then, in 2017, E3 changed the rules and allowed the public in for the first time ever, giving ordinary gamers an opportunity to play games months before release.
Here’s where we outline everything we know about E3 2018, including dates, ticket sales and press conference timings.
When is E3 2018 taking place?
As is the case with most E3 conferences, E3 2018 will span over three days in June – 12-14 June 2018, to be specific. If you're one of the lucky people that picked up a Gamer Pass for the show, you'll be able to access the show floor at these times:
- Tuesday 12 June 2018: 2pm-7pm
- Wednesday 13 June 2018: 12pm-7pm
- Thursday 14 June 2018: 9am-6pm
Anyway, while the show itself lasts for three days, game developers and publishers tend to host their own press conferences before the show begins. This gives the likes of Nintendo and Sony a chance to hype up their latest games, before letting gamers and press go hands-on during the show.
If you’re wondering about EA’s E3 plans, we imagine that, as has happened previously, the company will host its own EA-exclusive conference at the same time as E3 2018.
How can I buy tickets to attend?
As was the case at E3 2017 for the first time ever, gaming fans from across the world will be able to wander the show floor at E3 2018 and get hands-on time with games that are months (or even years) away from being released. It’s the biggest event of the year for gamers, and with so many announcements under one roof, it’s not hard to see why.
The good news is that if you’re interested in going along as a fan, you can head over to the E3 Expo website right now and pick up a Gamer Pass, granting access to the show over the three days it runs. The bad news? They’re pretty expensive at $249 a pop, and they’ll only get you in in the afternoon – mornings at the show are reserved for industry and press only.
They’re also first-come, first-served and there are only a limited number of Gamer Passes available, so if you’re interested then we’d advise booking sooner rather than later.

It's set to begin at 17:00 BST on Tuesday 12 June 2018.

Then, following the conference, Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3 2018 will begin three days of live gameplay, developer interviews and a better look at upcoming games.

If that has you excited, here's .
Sony is the latest publisher to confirm a presentation at E3 2018, as confirmed in a recent PlayStation Blog post. But unlike other publishers that aren't disclosing what to expect, Sony has outlined a list of games that we'll get to see during its' presentation - and it sounds amazing. Expect to see updates not only from Spider-Man ahead of release later this year, but also The Last of Us 2, Ghosts of Tshushima and the hugely anticipated Death Stranding.
