Best Android phone deals 2018: Why go Android?

There are many reasons you might choose an Android smartphone over Apple's iPhone and iOS operating system. For one, you may just dislike the look and feel of the iPhone which while polished is arguably 'on rails'.

Android is far more customisable, but also runs on so many more phones. As Windows Phone has died a death, all the other major manufacturers besides Apple use Android: Samsung, HTC, Sony, LG and OnePlus to name but a few.

How much to spend?

This means you can pay anywhere from £80 to £800 - or more - for an Android smartphone. This is a huge difference for handsets that are ultimately built on the same basic software. Anything less than £200 and you will find the handset runs slowly, and the camera won't be much cop.

Anything above £500 and you should expect smartphone excellence, and this is where deals come in. Manufacturers and resellers often offer the latest cutting edge handsets at decent discounts, whether it's on contract or to buy the phone outright. We've selected all the best Android phone deals we can find and have put them here.
