After months of anticipation, Amazon Prime Day 2019 has ended. The event spanned two days for the first time ever, from 15 to 16 July. As one of the biggest shopping events of the year, Prime Day ushered in deals across thousands of products on Amazon. Plus, competing retailers jumped on the bandwagon too and launched their own deals events, some of which are still going strong.
Some of the most popular tech categories on Amazon during Prime Day were video game consoles and headphones, while some of the top selling products were Amazon's own Fire TV Stick 4K with Alexa Voice Remote and the Echo Dot 3. The PlayStation Classic and Oral B electric toothbrushes were also popular purchases.
You can still catch great deals post Prime Day 2019 across various tech, like phones, smart home and Amazon devices, speakers, audio, computing, tablets, electric toothbrushes and more, and we're rounding them all up here.

Amazon Prime Day 2019 highlights
Prime Day 2019 allowed Prime members to get 4 months of Amazon Music Unlimited, Amazon's response to Spotify, for 99p. Typically users get a 1-month trial after which the rate goes to £9.99 per month, saving listeners nearly £30. Though this deal is now over, you can still get 90 free days of Amazon Music Unlimited if you buy an Echo smart speaker or Fire tablet.
Even if you don't buy an Echo or Fire device, you can still get a 30-day free trial of Amazon Music Unlimited right now.
e-Book lovers will also be happy to know that new members can still get 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for £9.99, instead of £23.97 (renews at £7.99 afterwards). Unlimited offers access to over a million books and select magazine subscriptions. The offer started 24 June and ends 31 July. Sign up for Kindle Unlimited now.
For Prime Day Amazon also had an offer where new members could sign up for Audible and get a £10 Amazon credit and two free audiobook credits. While that promotion is over, you can still get Audible for free for 30 days.
Also on offer during Prime Day 2019 was Amazon Channels, the add-on service to Prime Video that lets you stream content from other TV networks like Discovery, ITV, Eurosport and more – see our guide to Channels here. From 28 June to 16 July Amazon offered 50% off the first three months on select channels. This promotion is no longer available, but current promotions allow Prime members to rent popular films like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse for £1.99 instead of £4.49. When was Amazon Prime Day 2019?
Prime Day began 00:01 BST on Monday 15 July, and finished at 11:59 on Tuesday 16 July, marking the first time the sale has continued for 2 days straight.
In 2018, the event was a day and a half long rather than the usual one day.
What is Amazon Prime Day?
Prime Day 2019 is the fifth annual Prime Day Amazon has hosted. The first was in the summer of 2015 when Amazon was celebrating its 20th birthday, but it was such a success that it has now become a yearly deals event.
2018's Prime Day featured more than one million deals globally, and Amazon delivered 40% more Spotlight deals in the UK than in 2017.
It's available for Prime members only, so you'll need to be signed up to Amazon Prime in order to take advantage of Prime deals. Sign up to Amazon's 30-day free trial to get access to deals next year.
If you're new to Amazon Prime and want to find out more about it, we have an article all about Amazon Prime benefits here. In a nutshell, Amazon Prime is a service that started out as a way to get unlimited next day delivery, but has since evolved to include additional benefits such as access to Amazon's Netflix rival Prime Video.
Amazon Prime Day Launches
In addition to making Prime Day longer in 2018, Amazon introduced a new initiative called Prime Day Launches, which have returned for 2019. These are brand new products and special-editions that are available exclusively to Prime members first. See our full coverage of Prime Day launches.
